    Great

    Good location.

Shower was poor and lift button on 3rd floor needed fixed. Could do with some renovation - decor was dated.

    The location

I booked an executive room yet was given an economy room but still charged executive rates. It wasn't until I queried it due to the very poor quality of the room that I was told I had been downgraded as they were very busy that weekend! I think at the very least I should have been informed of the downgrade at checking in! Very shoddy operating policies!

    Location

The room i stayed in was too small and dark. Had no window felt a bit claustrophobic. Wallpaper on the ceiling was coming away and hanging. Rooms could do with a makeover. The Tv was outdated and had very limited stations and poor signal quality. From the room i stayed in it was not worth the money i paid for it. I would recommend this hotel again only if they request a room with a window.

Just the location near to the train station as a non-driver handy with bags and cases and getting trains.loved the stair case hated the loud music from night clubs next door bed was shaking with the noise but then agin it was arealy cheap tacky very small single bed bit like a chids bed !didnt sleep at all due to noise and uncomfy bed .oh only 1 cheap tea bag on tray with tea cup ..come on get your act together!!i wqas born and bred in manchester im sure you can do better ?!!

Didnt like cheap tacky bed uncomfy ..too small ..like a childs bed im 5ft 6 tall and my feet hung over the end! The drunks on the entrance to the hotel was awfull and prostitues and the overspill to nightclubs next door !music was too loud from clubs and couldnt sleep for the loud noise

    Location

I was put in a room above a very noisy night club which did not close until 2am. Given this, I should have been warned about it before it was booked.

    City centre location

The hotel really needs updating, quite dated. I booked over three months and requested a back of building room and I was put in a room at the front, they did move after I had to complain. Hotel and room really hot and stuffy you really would expect in this modern age to have air conditioning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Very good

    central location

door fob didn't work waited 10 mins for porter to let us in. was very warm but window only opened about 2 inches no air conditioning or fan in room. Room itself was clean but as on top floor ceiling sloped and was thick dust that an earlier occupant had written 'clean me' in dust...obviously not been seen/done!!

The location was excellent, right next to picadilly gardens.

Had booked an economy smoking room costing £116 for 2 nights which I thought was pretty expensive, room was very dark with used cigarettes on the floor, tv didn't work, marks all over the walls and carpet, boiling hot and air condition did not work but made an awful loud noise. Complained and asked to be moved to a different room so got put on the 6th floor which was better but not great, lift did not go that far up so alot of stairs to walk up with luggage, there was a massive window but huge grey building blocking any view (if they knocked that building down could have had a view over picadilly gardens which would have been lovely). Overall once had complained and moved rooms, was alot happier. Did not realise checkout was 11am as misread the website, my bad, however only got one knock on the door from cleaning staff at 11.30am saying 'house keeping'.. Would have been nice if they had said you need to checkout instead of getting charged £20 late checkout fee by a really rude obnoxious woman on the reception.

Very Bad hotel... First of all I have been to so many hotels in world but they never follow the 2pm check in rules but this hotel does,,, and when I went to check in there was a huge que and it took almost 2 hrs for check in... Yes 2 hrs for check in... I had taken the executive room which is the best category room from the other 2 room options... But this room was third class... Windows open only 2 inch... When its summer they know guest will feel hot they should keep the fans before hand rather then asking for it... Very bad hotel... In same price many are available...

The housekeeping was excellent every day. The bar staff were pleasant. The entrance hall with giant chandelier was very pretty. Hotel very convenient to main shopping area and to the conference centre. Lots of good restaurants in close proximity to the hotel.

The bedroom booked was described as an 'executive double', it did not live up to the title! Small double room with very old furniture and a lumpy matress, some might romantically call the furniture 'antique' but it was just old and tired. The windows were soo dirty I couldn't see much through them, though to be fair the room was facing onto the main road, having said that, they obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time! On the whole the room was comfortable enough but very shabby and tired looking, very old fashioned. Not exactly what it says on the tin!!!

    Good location

Stayed in a executive room but not sure what was executive about it. Window was nearly on ceiling which gave the room a feel of being in a prison cell and there was a sickly sweet air freshner smell. Window would only open a small amount so room was very hot and stuffy and at five in the morning we had to call for a fan to be brought to the room which the staff were very kind to do. Hotel needs a bit of a refurb in our opinion as it has beautiful original features I.e the staircase but it is all looking a bit tired and the restaurants downstairs are a bit tacky for a hotel that could be so much better!!!

    location

I feel disappoint because the staff didn't concern about my room. I called the reception because the lamp near the mirror didn't work. and the staff came to check it and she saw it stopped working but she didn't repair or change a new one for me so my room was not light. Moreover she told me use the light in bathroom.
